APPROCHE CARTOGRAPHIQUE DE L’ÉVALUATION DE LA DÉGRADATION ENVIRONNEMENTALE DANS LA COMMUNE DE YOPOUGON, À ABIDJAN (CÔTE D’IVOIRE)

RESUME: La présente recherche propose une démarche cartographique permettant de faire une synthèse du niveau de dégradation de l’environnement en milieu urbain. La recherche a été motivée par la persistance de l’insalubrité dans la ville d’Abidjan et la recrudescence des pathologies d’origine environnementale. Le champ d’expérimentation de cette démarche a été choisi dans la commune de Yopougon, dans le quartier dénommé « Ancien Quartier ». La démarche établit une quantification du niveau de dégradation via un indice composite. Les données mobilisées à cet effet découlent de l’observation de terrain et de l’analyse par télédétection. L’intégration de ces données dans un SIG a permis la spatialisation de l’indice composite par l’entremise d’un procédé graphique établi par carroyage.
La carte obtenue donne une meilleure lisibilité de la situation environnementale et peut efficacement orienter la lutte anti-vectorielle et la prise de décision contre les biotopes pathogènes.

Title: Cartographic approach of the valuation of environmental deterioration in the district of Yopougon, in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire)
This research proposes a cartographic approach to synthesize the level of degradation of the urban environment. The research was motivated by the persistence of unsafe in the city of Abidjan and the resurgence of diseases of environmental origin. The field testing of this approach was chosen in Yopougon, area of “Ancien Quartier”. The approach used makes a quantification of the level of degradation via a composite index. The data used for this purpose resulting from direct field observation and remote sensing analysis. The integration of these data into a GIS enabled spatial composite index through a process established by graph grid. The resulting map gives a better readability of the environmental situation and can effectively guide the vector control and decision making against pathogens habitats.
